holiday lookbook!

i ordered the lace back dress (in black) for christmas! i love the pink floyd tee and fur jacket. xx

actress and fashionista, shenae grimes, shows off her west hollywood home to one of my favorite fashion blogs, refinery29 and i had to share some of the images. i’ve always admired her bohemian style and love that she’s a canuck (while i was living in toronto -her hometown- i once spotted her ordering coffee at my local haunt, dark horse).

i’ve often been told we have the same dark and wavy hair and a similar boho look. after reading this interview, it’s safe to say i identify with her on much more than messy bedhead hair. 

she describes her style as “boho-meets-rocker”. ditto.

her home has vintage pieces, candles and a rustic vibe, not unlike my own bachelorette pad. we both love dreamcatchers (i’ve contemplated getting one as a tattoo).

she counts leather pants, booties, rings, faux fur and vintage rock band tee’s as her wardrobe staples. umm, me too.

feels more in her element when dressing for cooler temps - layers, navajo prints, cozy jackets, toques - and would never be caught dead in pink. i’ve always echoed this sentiment.

we both worked at a fashion magazine. her - teen vogue. me - flare.

both of us list sienna miller & the olsen twins as style icons.
